Description: 12 April 2009: Thai pro-democracy (UDD) protesters sing one of their favorite songs - kwam jing wan nee (truth today) while standing in the middle of a major road they have taken control of. Everyone is very good natured although there is some tension as there is always the threat of attack from opposition groups including the Yellow Shirts. The government banned gatherings of five or more people earlier in the day, but this rule was widely ignored across Bangkok. Many thousands of red-clad supporters came out to show their dissatisfaction for a government that got into power by military backing. Most of the Red Shirt supporters would like to see ex-prime minister Taksin back in power.
