Interception of the Somali Pirates

Description: As the problem of piracy on the oceans continues, 11 more pirates have been taken captive by Nivose, a French warship, off the coast of Kenya on Wednesday. The warship was part of an EU piracy patrol and the pirate gang were taken prisoner following an unsuccessful raid they had attempted on an American ship known as the Liberty Sun. The French defence ministry has explained that the pirates were taken captive about 550 miles (900km) east of the Kenyan port of Mombasa. Another attack on a Liberian-registered vessel was stopped as well, according to the French ministry.
