Description: As shown, the bomb bay of an RAF Nimrod aircraft at RAF Kinloss. The Nimrod, formed from the body of a passenger aircraft named the Comet, is to stop service and be chopped up at the end of the month. Flying in its current form as the MR2 since the 1970s, the aircraft has come to the end of its service life. No longer will the aircraft fly, the fleet will now be chopped up and moved to air museums, perhaps even being smelted and end up as razor blades or similar. Photo by Aaron Sneddon
