Obama's Afghan Strategy

Nobel Peace Laureate Barak Obama sends thousands more troops to Afghanistan.
After weeks of high-level meetings to review his administration's strategy in Afghanistan, President Obama has announced that a further 30,000 US troops will be sent to Afghanistan.
The main goal in the region remains the same: to destroy and dismantle al Qaeda and prevent the group and its extremist allies from operating effectively. What are your thoughts? Is his strategy the right way to achieve this goal or will it just fuel more extremism? Does Obama actually deserve the Nobel Peace Prize that he was awarded just a few weeks ago?
