The Genuine Man Who Saw Tomorrow by Sohail Parwaz
Truths about the future - 1
Allah (God) Almighty has very clearly said in the Holy Quran that the destiny of every human being and the fate of this world is recorded and is kept most safely. The Holy Prophet Hazrat Muhammad (PBUH) says: "Allah gave command to the pen to write whatever is known to Allah and what all is to happen until the doomsday, and the pen obeyed." A negligible amount of this whole account from Adam and Eve's descending till the Day of Judgment has been bestowed upon the prophets by Allah Almighty so that they could forewarn their tribes, caution their nations, advise their followers and keep them on the path of truth. Allah has also imparted a faint portion of this invisible knowledge about the future to his saints as well. This knowledge of the absent has multi-dimensions where Allah would always keep the core dimension hidden and unexposed from everyone, even from His prophets and messengers.
The respected saints of every time always forewarn their followers and sanctimonious people to refrain from indulging in malpractices and sinful doings. One of them was Hazrat Naimat Ullah Shah Kashmiri, aka Hazrat Shah Naimat Wali Ullah who, after travelling through the Subcontinent finally settled in the Kashmir Valley and ultimately breathed his last there. Hazrat Shah Naimat made some predictions almost eight hundred years ago in the form of Persian verses and, surprisingly, those predictions are coming true with the passage of time. This is the only reason why one gets a chill in the spine when one reads about the prophecies for the time to come.
About twenty years back, the name of a French saint Nostradamus was in the news internationally. People would gossip about his prophecies. Even a movie titled, "The Man Who Saw Tomorrow" was made, which created a great hype. It mentioned about many things but no one got a clue for 9/11 until it actually happened and then folks started relating some of the prophecies with the disaster. Seeing all this, I once talked to a respected religious scholar and requested him for amplification of this all. In reply to my query he said, and I quote: "Prediction is the one which forewarns you and after carefully analyzing it, one understands the future scenario and thus takes pre-emptive measures. But if anyone tries to relate some event after it happens with something said by someone, then it is in no way a prediction. Nostradamus' case is the classic example of this theory. If he really made a prophecy about the event then why was it not talked about when he got sudden fame in the early 1980s? Why was it propagated after the debacle of 9/11?
Contrary to this, the divinations made by Hazrat Shah Naimat or foretelling by other saints portray the future clearly. If we seriously consider and follow the Prophet's (Peace be upon Him) teachings keeping in mind what he has predicted about the times to come and the Day of Judgment, it would be enough to keep us on the right path, save us from humiliation and disgrace. The most interesting thing is that what Hazrat Shah Naimat said corresponds with what the Holy Prophet said centuries before him. It is said that Hazrat Shah Naimat's prophecies consist of more or less two thousand verses but unfortunately only a few hundred of them are available. I am not sure but there must be some old libraries where his whole collection is stored. And if that precious book is available somewhere, it is more needed now than ever.
The topic is quite interesting and lengthy; hence I intend to write it in two parts. Today, I shall speak to you about those few prophecies which, according to my modest estimation have happened. However, Allah has supreme control over times and ages. In the very beginning, I would like to quote two verses of him. The first one is about King Taimur's birth, which he made two hundred years before his birth and the second is about the Mughal Emperor Babar who was the fifth one in Taimur's generation to sit on the throne.
Hazrat Naimat says: "I am telling the truth that a King by the name of Taimur would come to the world and would rule an empire. Emperor Babar would follow him and would first rule Kabul and subsequently Delhi".
Hazrat Shah Naimat made that prediction somewhere in 548 Hijri. I am neither an astrologist nor a mathematician but what simple calculations explain is it was something like 1025 or 1026 AD, whereas Taimur invaded India in 1398 AD. That means that the event was prophesised almost 362 years ahead of the occurrence. My aim is just to enlighten you about those predictions. Only saints of Allah Almighty could tell who had the power conferred upon them by Allah to look into the future.
The appealing thing is that at most of the places the names of the persons and places are clearly mentioned while at other occasions he has indicated towards personalities or places through initials or the starting alphabets (in Persian) of nouns.
The first prediction is about Nadir Shah's attack of Delhi. He said: "Nadir Shah would emerge from Iran and would snatch the Indian empire. He would callously use his sword to assassinate the people of Delhi." About the Mughals he said: "You (who are reading my prophecies) will not find Mughals anywhere after 300 years. They would vanish into the caves like Ashaab-e-Kahaf (the cave people about whom there is a reference in the Holy Quran)."
About the arrival of East India Company in the Subcontinent, he said: "Rajas and Maharajas would turn careless. For most of the time they would remain drunk and addicted to opium. At that time the British/Christians would land in India disguised as traders and businessmen."
About the British rule in India he predicted: "My dears! Understand it very clearly that they would rule India for 100 years at least."
(Please note that the Britishers' stay in India was for 200 years, however, they ruled only for 100 years. When Lord Curzon, the then Viceroy of India came to know about Hazrat Shah Naimat's prophecies, he put a ban on their publishing and making them public).
While talking about the First World War, Shah Naimat predicts: "For four years a great war would be fought in the West in which ‘E' (England) would score an unfair victory over ‘G' (Germany)."
I would like to clarify that Shah Naimat used the Persian alphabets Alif for Inglistan (England) and Jeem for Germany. The interesting point to note is that this war was fought in the West (Europe) for four years (1914-1918).
While predicting more about First World War, he even gave the death figures. Shah Naimat said: "It would be a great world war. There would be a great bloodshed and about 13.1 million people would be killed."
He prophesised about the Second World War also and said: "The Second World War would start 21 years after the First World War and it would be more violent, lethal, destructive and ruinous then the first one."
People who are interested in military history knows it very well that the Second World War (1939-1945) started exactly 21 years after the First World War.
While mentioning the weapons he said: "The scientists of that era would make very deadly and fatal weapons which could measure energy and power and would bring mass destruction to the fighting forces (atomic bomb)."
So far, we have reached up to the early 20th century and I have talked about the two great wars only. In the next part, I shall talk about the prophecies regarding the Indian Subcontinent.
Here I consider it necessary to tell you an interesting thing about this book titled, Eight Hundred Years Old Prophecies of Shah Naimat. It was the early 1971 when I went to Rawalpindi railway station to receive a relative of mine. The train was late so I started glancing at the books displayed on the railway bookstall's counter. I found this book there and bought it casually. Later, when I read it, the prophecies impressed me, especially those which were still to happen. Believe me that in last 38 years many events have taken place and the chilling fact is that a number of them are mentioned in this book.

- looking forward to the second part of this shoemaker!
Bruce I think it has a lot of relevance as it refers to international events of history. - Yes, we expect from the shoemaker to throw some more shoes on 'idiots'. Anxiously looking forward for the second part.
- nostradamous could not see the future. his predictions were too vague. they could mean anything, i have read about him.
- Excellent effort by Shoemaker. Keep it up as you have really done a wonderful job to enlighten the world to go to the future upto certain level ( almost till the end of this world). waiting for the second part.
